Established in 1995 Balinese Experience offers a range of adventures ensuring that the highest possible levels of safety, training and conservation are adhered to. This company started as Ayung River Rafting, the 1st locally owned rafting company, offering the Ayung River's longest white water adventure, jungle trekking and mountain biking. Mountain biking rides are offered in the local village, Kintamani & Jatiluweh Rice Paddy's.

In 2001, Bali Horse Riding joined the stable with over 20 horses and beautiful beaches to ride them on. They also have convertible 'topless' VW Safaris in which you can tour the island.

In 2004, working with the Government in aid of elephant conservation, Bali Elephant Camp was established to help care for and promote the plight of Sumatran elephants. Bali Elephant Camp has 9 Sumatran elephants, who along with their 'mahouts' (carers) have become ambassadors for their brothers and sisters in Sumatra.

Balinese Experience is located just north of the Sangeh Monkey Forest, across the river from Ubud in the village of Carang Sari. It's a scenic drive passing through lots of local life. Perched on the edge of the Ayung River - over 20 hectares of lush fertile grounds including rice paddies, jungles and small plots of cocoa and chillies the location offers amazing views.

Bali Elephant Camp

Located in the historic village of Carangsari, birth place of Bali's national hero 'Ngurah Rai' and only a short distance from the Sangeh monkey forest, Bali Elephant Camp is situated between the rice paddies, jungle, and the Ayung River (where white water rafting is also offered).

As part of the Camps efforts to conserve this magnificent species, they take their time to teach visitors more about them and to try to give them the opportunity to experience what life is like with these incredible elephants. By riding these elephants visitors actually the Camp help other elephants in Sumatra by providing funds for food and land to make sure their homes remain protected.
